It is really difficult to explain what I do on the level of rationalization, because my works are bom not out of the intellectual self-reflection of life, meaning, but out of sensual feeling of these notions. These feelings emerge somewhere on the level of adobmen, rise up as a reflex lump in the throat, passing to the hands and into sculpture. And now embodied in sculpture, they become symbols. And the action of symbol, using words of V. Franklin, can be compared with the effect of perspective. As perspective by means of two dimensions express third one, allowing to see the space in plane, the symbolic image makes inconceivable understandable. |
